Grooming Report Tues. Feb. 18

The start of the day went well heading down setting classic tracks and grooming out the lower trails which was going well until warm temps in the 40s in the lower 10k meadow and quickly softening snow turned our grooming attachment into a 350 lb boat anchor. Scott and I dug out and got the lower meadow skate lanes done but not classic tracks down there. Similar issue on the N connector trail heading down to 10k lots of soft drifted snow and after some digging and winching got free and headed back up. Be cautious skiing that N connector as we left some rough sections. Back up top, set classic tracks and smoothed out the skate lane on the Service Road which is looking good again. Thanks also to Steve for shoveling work today. Weather permitting we plan to groom Friday starting at 0 dark 30 while the snow is firm. Enjoy!

winch comes in handy in sticky situations
