Grooming report Thurs. Dec. 26

Sunny and calm with around 4 inches of fresh soft snow made for a delightful day. Quite a few xc skiers out today enjoying the pristine conditions. Scott got some maintenance work done as well. Conditions take it’s toll. Also some lost items, a pair of blue Oakley’s (mine) and someone’s iPhone so if you find them lets us know, thanks. Service road had been nicely compacted by the downhill groomers and we added classic tracks to the Service Rd and groomed out the rest of the trail for skate and classic down to 10K. Snow still soft but should set up nicely overnight. Another storm on its way for Friday and weather permitting, we will groom again Saturday or Sunday. Enjoy!

    1. Mary,
The trails we groom as well as other trails are under the Forest Service and are public trails and the club does not have a policy on dogs. Skiers and hikers regularly bring their dogs along on many of the trails. I would say if your dog is well behaved or on a leash and would not run in front of other skiers creating a dangerous situation then is ok. Please just be mindful of others out enjoying the trails and appreciate cleaning up poop as well. The Forest service does not provide bags so you need to bring your own. Some individual has posted a sign on the Ellis trail saying dogs on leash and says it is from the Forest service but is not a Forest service sign. Thanks for asking
