Grooming Report Nov 30

True to predictions, Saturday saw howling winds, 60+mph gusts and temps in the teens. While we postponed our trail work day till Sunday, Scott and I drove up (tram not running) to check things out. The road up has been plowed and sanded and the parking lot at the very top had been plowed. As of yesterday afternoon, Ellis and 10K parking lots had not been plowed but parking can be had along side the road. There is around 2 feet of fresh snow a bit heavier than our usual dusty stuff, but very nice. We decided to roller compact the Service Rd. and then the down-hill groomer came through and did a nice job on the Service Rd. so that is looking great. With all the winds there are quite a few downed trees here and there and we managed to clear our trail down to 10k. Sunday we have a work crew and we will shovel and compact the lower trails down towards 10k and looking forward to to probability of less wind today.
