Grooming report Thurs March 14

More like mid Jan. conditions on the mountain today with up to a foot of fresh fairly dry snow. Scott and I had the pleasure of having Kerry Wood from Forest Service ski the groomed trails with us to check the trails out. We put him to work too, having to deal with a 2ft diameter fallen tree on Klaus and happily he had a chain saw in his truck so after a few cuts no problema. Quite a few other downed trees here and there that we could clear with the winch on the ATV. That Grizzly ATV is such a beast! Compacted the fresh snow with the roller and looking great for the weekend on all the trails including Klaus. A fallen tree also took out a section of the power line along the Service road and crews were up working on that with the service road being plowed to get the lineman in to do their thing. Goodly number of skiers up today enjoying the spectacular conditions. Quite a day!

Great to have Kerry join us today!
This can’t be mid March in the Sandias. pic compliments of Rory.
