With a couple inches of fresh powder over a firm base, cold temps (3 deg F in the AM) and help from Scott, Steve and Gordon, today was the day to use our Ginzu on the entire lower trails including the 10k meadow. Classic track and skate lanes were set all around and snow is in great condition. We will regroom, focusing on the lower 10K meadow on Saturday in preparation for Sat. Clinic. The Clinic, open (and free) to skiers of all ages and abilities, will be held noon this Sat. just to the South of the 10k parking lot. Leading the clinic will be Jon and Karl, both accomplished skiers and SNSC board members. Jon has much experience coaching and holding clinics for skiers of all ages, including clinics at Crested Butte as well as racing. Karl’s racing experience includes a podium finish at Crested Butte’s, Alley Loop marathon race two weeks ago. Good technique though is not just for racers. So whatever your ability or goals are, come out and learn how to put more glide in your stride and kick up the fun a few notches!
