SUMMARY:BB Gun Biathalon
DESCRIPTION:A unique\, super-fun freestyle ski event in which participants can either classic or skate ski while target shooting with Red Ryder BB guns provided by the Pagosa Nordic Club. 10 seconds added for each shot missed during the race but no gun or shooting experience is needed. Parents can help the young ones cock and shoot. Kids really love this race! Prizes for the top finishers and best costumes along with participant drawing giveaways. Great fun for all ages!

SUMMARY:Boulder Mountain Tour Nordic Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The premier cross-country race in the Western United States\, the Tour is staged on the historic Harriman Trail located in the pristine Sawtooth National Forest Area. Race distances are 34 kilometers\, the Full Boulder\, and 15 kilometers\, the Charley Course Half Boulder. \nThe field features World Cup-caliber racers to cross-country enthusiasts who embrace the “Tour” aspect of the event. All ages are welcome. Racers are separated by waves\, including Elite Men\, and Elite Women\, seeded by previous race times in the BMT or comparable marathon distance races. There are seven waves in the Full Boulder. This year\, the in-person race field will be capped at 800 skiers for the Full Boulder\, and 200 skiers in the Half.

SUMMARY:Frisco Gold Rush
DESCRIPTION:Gold Rush is where the past and present come together to celebrate our historical mining heritage and embrace our snowy Nordic culture. \nGold Rush participants and their friends and family have a great reason to stick around Frisco after the races. The Frisco Gold Rush will be followed by Spontaneous Combustion\, a community bonfire and fireworks display near the Frisco Bay Marina. The whole community is invited to the corner of Summit Boulevard/Main Street and Marina Road at 6:00pm on Saturday\, February 8\, 2025\, to gather\, swap stories and watch the bonfire and fireworks (that will start at approximately 8:00pm). This is a free event. Please be mindful of the noise should you opt to bring your furry companion. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase to benefit a local non-profit.

Experience the alpine glow of the Twilight Peaks and the rise of the full moon as you sip a warm beverage by the bonfire or go for an evening ski or snowshoe. This is an event for the whole family. \nThe San Juan Mountains Association will be leading 60-90 minute guided snowshoe hikes at each of our Howlers. Hikes leave just after 6 pm from the Nordic Center.

DESCRIPTION:The Chama Chile Classic features a Freestyle Cross Country Ski Race which is a qualifying race for the Nordic Series\, Classic Cross country Ski Races\, and Snowshoe races! Enjoy a variety of events for all ages and abilities. \nThe race course includes part of the historic Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad and is located in the southern San Juan Mountains\, north of Chama\, New Mexico and southwest of Antonito\, Colorado. The course includes rolling hills\, aspen groves\, open meadows\, and forests of spruce and fir. \nRegistration and Bib Pickup will be available on Friday night (February 14th) at Fosters Restaurant in Chama from 5:00-7:00pm.  Race bibs will also be available for pickup at the race site from 8:00-9:00am.  Races start at 9am.
