SUMMARY:Frisco Gold Rush
DESCRIPTION:Gold Rush is where the past and present come together to celebrate our historical mining heritage and embrace our snowy Nordic culture. \nGold Rush participants and their friends and family have a great reason to stick around Frisco after the races. The Frisco Gold Rush will be followed by Spontaneous Combustion\, a community bonfire and fireworks display near the Frisco Bay Marina. The whole community is invited to the corner of Summit Boulevard/Main Street and Marina Road at 6:00pm on Saturday\, February 8\, 2025\, to gather\, swap stories and watch the bonfire and fireworks (that will start at approximately 8:00pm). This is a free event. Please be mindful of the noise should you opt to bring your furry companion. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase to benefit a local non-profit.

SUMMARY:Boulder Mountain Tour Nordic Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The premier cross-country race in the Western United States\, the Tour is staged on the historic Harriman Trail located in the pristine Sawtooth National Forest Area. Race distances are 34 kilometers\, the Full Boulder\, and 15 kilometers\, the Charley Course Half Boulder. \nThe field features World Cup-caliber racers to cross-country enthusiasts who embrace the “Tour” aspect of the event. All ages are welcome. Racers are separated by waves\, including Elite Men\, and Elite Women\, seeded by previous race times in the BMT or comparable marathon distance races. There are seven waves in the Full Boulder. This year\, the in-person race field will be capped at 800 skiers for the Full Boulder\, and 200 skiers in the Half.

DESCRIPTION:A unique\, super-fun freestyle ski event in which participants can either classic or skate ski while target shooting with Red Ryder BB guns provided by the Pagosa Nordic Club. 10 seconds added for each shot missed during the race but no gun or shooting experience is needed. Parents can help the young ones cock and shoot. Kids really love this race! Prizes for the top finishers and best costumes along with participant drawing giveaways. Great fun for all ages!

It is both a premier American Birkebeiner Qualifying event and Crested Butte’s most outrageous costume party of the year! The course winds through snowy streets\, alleyways\, and narrow bridges through the heart of downtown Crested Butte. Once you make it through town\, you are rewarded with pristine tracks and exhilarating vistas throughout the Crested Butte Nordic trail network. If you like normal\, you may want to look for another race.  If you are up for anything… this is right up your alley!

DESCRIPTION:Come accept the challenge of this 10km freestyle cross-country ski race on some of the best ski trails in Colorado. The Skuffle has been going on for more than three decades and it’s always a good time. GMNC’s races are challenging for top athletes\, but they’re also a  lot of fun for the rest of us who just want to get out and test ourselves against a beautiful\, well-groomed course. The Skyway Skuffle is a 10km freestyle race\, so you can skate or classic ski (but prizes are awarded according to finish\, not technique). The course map will be posted the week before.
