Skiers make their way from Cable to Hayward\, WI\, on the legendary Birkie Trail\, finishing on the snow-covered Main Street of Hayward\, WI. Enjoy a week full of racing\, live music\, food\, and ski events in the Northwoods. An estimated 40\,000 skiers & spectators will attend Birkie week festivities. Don’t miss it!

DESCRIPTION:GMNC’s races are challenging for top athletes\, but they’re also a  lot of fun for the rest of us who just want to get out and test ourselves against a beautiful\, well-groomed course. The Feb 15 is a 15km freestyle race\, so you can skate or classic ski (but prizes are awarded according to finish\, not technique). The course route will depend on snow conditions.
