Grooming Report, Dec 4th

Here’s the full grooming update from Jeff!

Rolled most of the upper and lower trail sections today. A few rocks here and there on the upper and lower trails, particularly in the meadows, average of 6 or so inches of fresh snow bit more in the trees. So suggest not using your best skis until we get another storm. Did a good bit of shoveling also in the highly cambered areas on the upper trails but will need more snow and shoveling to get them a bit flatter. The Ellis service road was plowed down to near dirt with very little remaining snow so no skiing there until they stop regularly plowing. At the Ellis trailhead the trails are groomed from there. Big Thanks to Sam Beard and the FOSM group for sawing up some downed trees today to clear Klaus trail! I then was able to groom the N half or Klaus a bit, but this trail is quite cambered in spots so will also need some shovel work. The south half of Klaus needs more snow with some exposed rocks and some shovel work will be needed before it will be groomable but not too bad for classic if you are coming from the tram to access the groomed trails. Tentative plan is to groom again on Saturday as a storm is forecasted Thurs/Fri. The Grizzly ATV, performs like a champ, what a beast! Thanks to all of you who have made donations to make this grooming possible.

Regards

Jeff
